David J. Katalinas

Attorney, Transaction Section

David J. Katalinas concentrates on Franchise-Distribution, Real Estate, and Commercial law. As a former in-house attorney with a locally-based international franchise company, David is able to understand his clients’ issues from both sides of the table. Among others, he has represented franchisors, equipment and food suppliers, developers, landlords, retailers and entrepreneurs. His work has involved representing franchisors from early stage to multi-national companies, with franchise registration, disclosure, general corporate, supplier, international expansion, mergers and intellectual property issues.

He has a great deal of experience negotiating commercial agreements with vendors, service providers, purchasers, distributors and freight companies domestically and internationally. He has negotiated shipping agreements for goods destined to Europe, Asia and the Middle East. In the commercial real estate arena, he concentrates on acquisitions, sales and leasing. He also has experience leading a team in negotiating the economics of retail leases on behalf of the franchisor to gain favorable terms in a down market. David has experience with a wide variety of industries, including food service, dental care, distribution, airlines, fly fishing, QSR and retail, among others.

Prior to joining the Moye White team, David served as corporate counsel for Quiznos Sub.

Outside of the office, David spends time with his wife, son and their greyhound. He enjoys fly fishing, soccer and barbecuing.
