Jennifer L. Gokenbach
Attorney, Trial Section
Tackling complex legal issues with integrity and compassion, Jennifer enjoys the challenges and rewards that her legal practice provides. She combines preparation with ingenuity to serve her clients as a strategic advisor, counselor, and advocate in commercial litigation, with a focus on employment, construction, and franchise law. With a background in statistics and her MBA, Jennifer enjoys helping her clients conceive, design, and improve systems to minimize claims and conflict potential.
In employment law, Jennifer defends companies and executives against claims of discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, hostile work environment, and wrongful discharge, among other employment-related claims. She has experience protecting clients’ confidential and trade secret information and taking immediate steps to prevent further damage.
Jennifer balances her employment litigation practice by providing proactive counseling regarding issues of compensation, compliance, policies, hiring practices, reductions in force, workplace safety, training, and termination, to minimize the potential for future disputes.
During her off time, she likes to hike with her Labrador retriever, Max. As a former national champion in trial advocacy, she also enjoys lending her expertise to law students by coaching a trial team at the University of Denver College of Law.
