Paul R. Wood

With more than 25 years’ experience in jury trials, arbitrations, and appeals, Paul Wood focuses his practice in commercial, contract, derivative shareholder, employment, lender liability, and securities disputes.

Paul is driven by a desire to win for his clients. Through thorough analysis and execution, he seeks to drive a successful result in complex cases involving contract interpretation, wrongful termination, discrimination, director and officer defense, unfair competition, trade secrets, and breach of fiduciary duty. Paul also has extensive experience dealing with valuation and accounting issues related to public and private companies.

Paul is uniquely qualified to defend corporations and business owners in disputes with shareholders and employees. Paul appears before the EEOC and the Colorado Civil Rights Commission as well as state and federal courts on cases involving violation of the Equal Pay Act, age, sex and race discrimination, and violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act. 

Paul is admitted to practice in Colorado, the U.S. District Court in Colorado, the U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals for the 1st, 6th, and 10th Circuits, and has appeared before numerous other state and federal courts pro hac vice.

Prior to joining Moye White, Paul was one of two principals in the law firm of Miller Wood LLC, a Denver-based firm that specialized in representation of clients in complex employment and commercial litigation matters within the telecom, high tech, insurance, real estate, and securities industries.

Paul is Vice Chair of the Directors and Officers/Errors and Omissions Specialized Litigation Group of the Defense Research Institute. He serves as a lecturer on employment law issues for Stafford Continuing Legal Education, Inc., and is a member of several bar associations. Paul is the past recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for Securities Regulation.
