Law Practice Professionals Group Integrates Services Already Provided to Attorneys
(Denver, Colo., January 30, 2013) - Denver law firm, Moye White LLP, has announced the formation of a new practice group, the Law Practice Professionals Group (LPPG). The group will be led by Partner Charles Luce.
“The firm has provided its attorneys and law firm clients with an array of counseling and litigation services for over 30 years,” said Moye White Managing Partner Jim Burghardt. “The LPPG simply integrates these services under the able leadership of Charles Luce, who proudly considers himself an “ethics geek” and whose counsel is highly valued by legal professionals everywhere.”
A former Lecturer in Law in Professional Responsibility at Denver University’s College of Law, Luce has served on the Colorado Bar Association’s Ethics Committee continuously since 1986. Luce created the first Colorado legal ethics website in 1997 and blogs on a wide variety of topics related to Colorado legal ethics and the practice of law.
The LPPG will continue to assist attorneys and law firms with complex business, ethical, and professional responsibility and practice issues. The group represents law firms, attorneys, and in-house counsel in legal and regulatory issues related to the practice of law, reducing risk, and establishing, understanding and following ethical guidelines.
A small sampling of the services offered by the LPPG includes:
- Assisting in overcoming client disputes and disqualification battles
- Dealing with attorney defections and other law firm changes
- Defending attorneys against grievance complaints
- Analyzing conflicts of interest
- Providing expert witness services in the fields of legal ethics and attorney standard of care
- Serving as “virtual in-house” ethics counsel
Other members of the LPPG include Moye White founding Partner, John Moye, Partners Eric Liebman and Liza Getches, and Associate Chris Leach.
