Denver-January 30, 2014-Colorado Preservation, Inc., the only statewide historic preservation non-profit organization, is pleased to announce the election of Dominick Sekich as Vice Chair of the Front Range and as the organization’s Chair Elect for 2014.
Sekich is a partner in the Denver law firm of Moye White LLP where he specializes in commercial law and real estate, guiding clients working with utilities, technology and sustainable and natural products.
A passionate historic preservationist, Sekich joined the Board of Directors for Colorado Preservation, Inc. in January 2013. He currently serves as a Trustee for Colorado Chautauqua Association and the Colorado Historical Foundation and is a past-President of Historic Boulder, Inc. As part of his work in real estate law and on historic preservation matters, Sekich has developed an expertise in the legal issues and policies that relate to historic structures and places.
“As Colorado Preservation, Inc. celebrates its 30th Anniversary in 2014, we are truly fortunate to have someone as talented and committed as Dominick in a leadership role,” said Rebecca Goodwin, Chair of the Board of Directors. “With his professional experience, knowledge and commitment, Dom is one of a group of directors from around the state who bring great value to CPI by virtue of their awareness of preservation issues in their own communities."
Goodwin added that CPI’s directors and dedicated professional staff make it possible to support preservation efforts in Colorado, an effort that will ensure that future generations have the opportunity to understand and experience the state’s history and heritage.
