(Denver, Colo., September 22, 2014) - Ted White, a name partner at the Denver law firm, Moye White LLP, has been honored by the Denver Business Journal as its 2014 Power Book winner in the category of law. The announcement was made at a special Power Book awards luncheon September 15 at the Westin Hotel. White had previously been named as one of 10 finalists in the law category.
Power Book recognizes business leaders in 14 industry categories who were prominent newsmakers and influencers in the business community over the past year. White was recognized for his work as Managing Partner of Fahr LLC, an umbrella entity for prominent investor and philanthropist Tom Steyer’s extensive business, policy, political, and philanthropic efforts. White is charged with shaping Fahr’s business and organizational structure and advancing the organization’s goals, which are largely focused on accelerating the country’s transition to a clean energy future.
White currently divides his time between Fahr’s home base in San Francisco and his Denver-based law firm.
"Ted White's legal and strategic expertise has helped our organization grow as it takes on the critical issue of climate change, but his contribution goes far beyond his technical skills. Ted's awareness of the issues and thoughtful relationships with people, enable everyone with whom he works to perform at a higher level," said Tom Steyer, Founding Partner of Fahr LLC. "Moving our nation's policies toward an advanced energy economy and sustainable future is the challenge of our generation, and I applaud Ted and Moye White for their continued commitment to being innovative and truly cutting-edge. Their place in the Power Book is certainly well-deserved."
Since White was abroad on business at the time of the luncheon, the award was accepted on his behalf by Moye White Managing Partner Tom List.
“No one is more deserving of this accolade than Ted White,” said List. “Ted is a brilliant attorney, an inspirational leader, and a fantastic innovator and thought-leader in areas such as clean energy. He has also given so much to our community over the years, including his work as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Boettcher Foundation, and as founding Board Chair of the Denver Biennial of the Americas, as well as being a contributor to, and leader of a variety of charitable, cultural and research organizations and institutes.”
The Denver Business Journal profiled Ted White and other winners in a special Power Book section in its September 19 issue.
