(Denver, Colo., January 10, 2017) - Denver law firm Moye White LLP announced that Timothy M. Swanson and Kristin A. Decker have been elected partners effective January 1, 2017.

As a member of the Moye White’s Real Estate Section, Decker’s practice focuses on land planning, zoning, real estate and land use related issues, as well as local government law. Prior to joining Moye White, Decker served in the Douglas County Attorney's Office from 2003 to 2016, where she was a Senior Assistant County Attorney-Land Use Specialist. Prior to her tenure with Douglas County, Decker was in private practice representing special districts. Having worked in both the private and public sectors, she offers a comprehensive understanding of the land use process and real estate issues. She began her legal career as assistant county attorney for Adams County in the real estate/land use areas.
Decker is a graduate of the Chicago-Kent College of Law-IIT where she earned her J.D. with Honors.
Swanson’s practice focuses primarily on commercial bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, and commercial litigation. He has extensive experience with Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 matters, drafting and arguing motions, objections, appellate briefs, and other pleadings along with handling contested bankruptcy court proceedings and appellate proceedings. Swanson regularly assists lending clients in a variety of matters involving workouts, creditors’ rights (foreclosure, guaranty, replevin, etc.), and loan documentation.
Swanson is an avid golfer and a keen outdoorsman who also competes in marathons and triathlons. He is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law and also received a Master of Laws in Taxation from the Northwestern University School of Law.
