Ritchie Also is an Author of the Colorado Bar Association’s “Evidence in Colorado – A Practical Guide”
(Denver, Colo.) – Moye White Partner Lucas Ritchie has been tapped to join a select group of speakers at the 50th Annual Rocky Mountain Securities Conference at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Denver on Friday, May 11.
He will co-present a session titled “Ethical Issues for Securities Industry Professionals,” which will focus on the boundaries of ethical representation in complex transactions, civil securities and corporate litigation, and criminal proceedings.
The conference, an event from the Colorado Bar Association/Continuing Legal Education (CLE), has stood as the Rocky Mountain region’s premier securities conference for 50 years. Key plans for this year’s event include conversations on the latest developments at the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC).
During the conference, Ritchie will join a line-up of presenters who are well known throughout the securities profession and whose observations have earned the respect and attention of the investment community. Other speakers include Julie K. Lutz of the Denver Regional Office of the SEC; Robert C. Troyer, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Colorado; Stephanie Avakian and Stephen Peiken, Co-Directors of the SEC’s Division of Enforcement; and the Honorable Hester M. Peirce, an SEC Commissioner.
Ritchie serves as Co-Chair of the Securities Law Subsection of the Colorado Bar Association and Secretary of the Executive Council of the CBA’s Litigation Section. He recently wrote a chapter on privilege and disqualification in the first edition of the book, “Evidence in Colorado – A Practical Guide,” which was published by the Colorado Bar Association/Continuing Legal Education.
