Firm Continues to Build Strong Litigation Team
(Denver, Colo., Nov. 17, 2020) – Moye White LLP is pleased to announce Patrick Akers has joined the firm as an associate in the Trial Section.
In his practice, Akers focuses primarily on complex commercial and bankruptcy litigation. He represents public and private entities in a wide array of matters, including avoidance actions, business torts, class actions, and commercial contract disputes. Akers also has experience representing trustees and creditors in bankruptcy cases and creditors’ rights litigation, including garnishments and receiverships.
Prior to joining Moye White, Akers worked as an associate in the litigation group of an Am Law 200 firm. While there, he drafted pleadings, written discovery, and trial and appellate briefs; managed discovery and was responsible for taking depositions; prepared and argued procedural and dispositive motions; and resolved cases at mediation. Akers also served as a communications officer in the United States Air Force.
Akers earned his legal degree from the Notre Dame Law School, cum laude, in 2016. He also received his MBA from Auburn University and his undergraduate degree in International Studies from the University of Iowa.
The announcement follows the addition of 11 new attorneys, including partners Matt Dillman and Merc Pittinos and associates Georginne Dudash, Ezra Kramer, Nikki Roberts, Niki Vinod Schwab, Brendan Leanos, Caleena S. Braig, Tanya A. Sevy, Danielle M. Kane, Courtney A. McShane, and Bobby W. Dishell, who each joined Moye White this year.
