DENVER (September 17, 2021) – Moye White LLP is pleased to announce partner William F. Jones presented on the impact of trust modifications on life insurance at a September 16 Denver Estate Planning Council (DEPC) meeting.
During his presentation, Trust Modifications, ILITS and Other Insurance Policy Opportunities in 2021, Jones discussed the considerations when moving life insurance, including valuation issues, the idea of gifting versus selling and transfer-for-value rules. He also shared considerations for building flexibility into design and funding and what to do with policies if they’re no longer needed.
In his practice, Jones is an experienced and accomplished litigator with a focus on complex civil litigation and business disputes. He defends business clients involved in product liability defense, franchise and distribution disputes, insurance defense and coverage issues, trust and estate litigation, as well as real estate litigation.
