During his presentation, Cheezo: Aged to Perfection (or The Joy of Pretext under Rule 8.4(c)), Luce shared the backstory behind the 2017 move by the Colorado Supreme Court to amend Rule of Professional Conduct 8.4(c). He discussed the rule’s meaning, specifically, “lawful investigative activity,” and the impact of the rule change on other Rules of Professional Conduct.
